How Greg Lost over 40 Pounds! Very Inspiring Real Life Story!
Powerful Lifestyle Based Changes Resulted in Amazing Improvements
September 12, 2006

Health Enthusiasts and Beach Boot Campers

Thank you for forwarding this email to friends, family and associates.

QUICK ANNOUNCEMENT: On Saturday, September 16, 2006 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, a video production will be filming the beach boot camp class in preparation for the production of a my first Basic Training video that will be available for purchase sometime in November 2006 on DVD.

If you haven't already seen the photos of Tom's special "pizza-on-a-stick" exercise motivator, here's your chance! No of course, pizza will not be "served" at all beach boot camp classes. I'm sure that's not the reason why you attend. Right? Just click on this link to see all of the photos of Tom's Oscar performance!

Quick fixes and hurry up. Yeah, that's what we want. Whether it's getting your car fixed, going to a restaurant, losing weight, getting in shape, better relationships or getting those finances in order. Just take out that loan with the equity of your house. No need to make any lifestyle changes. Or pop a pill. That'll save you time with all that exercising and eating right. Besides, that's just too much trouble and it's not fun. Right? Wrong! Isn't that how we think? Any goal worthy of pursuing is also worthy of achieving. It is the gradual ongoing approach to a worthy goal that changes you mentally. A quick fix robs you of this experience and does not make you a better person. Now don't get me wrong. I'm also interested in shortcuts. Getting from point A to point B as quickly as possible. Think more about the change of your way of thinking and you will be much more successful, whether it's your personal or professional life. It's interesting how we are motivated to follow myths. Most of it has something to do with maintaining a comfortable approach to life. Because change is uncomfortable though necessary and immensely rewarding for you and for those around you. Read about the amazing weight loss and lifestyle changes that Greg went through. He lost over 40 pounds and has much more energy.

How You Too Can Lose That Excess Weight

How Greg Lost Over 40 Pounds of Excess Weight

How Greg Lost Over 40 Pounds of Excess Weight!

Every now and then I come across an inspiring story about weight loss that is reality based. Let me introduce you to Greg (see photo of Greg and his family). Over two years ago Greg came to me for personal training on the beach. His story is inspiring because his weight loss was lifestyle based, not some “magic bullet” or some quick weight loss program.

Greg went from weighing 255 pounds in May of 2004 to a weight of 211 pounds as of September 2006.

Let’s take a look at some of Greg’s before and after numbers:

Weight

So what did Greg actually do to lose over 40 pounds? Here's what he did:

  • Reduced his portion sizes.
  • He made gradually lifestyle changes.
  • Planned and Implemented a Regular Exercise Regimen.
  • Became His Own Drill Instructor to Stay on Track.
  • Always Thought About the Long-term Health Benefits.
  • He Did Not Focus on Appearance; he focused on health.

Greg now has a natural heightened awareness about what and how much he eats as well as always planning on incorporating as much natural movement into his lifestyle as possible. He now feels better and has more energy. Greg is has finally gotten his BMI very close to the normal range of 18-24.9. His BMI at present is 25.7. BMI measures the propensity for disease and is NOT a measurement of body fat. That simply means that he does not have to work on getting in the lower range of BMI. Once he hits the normal range starting at 24.9, his propensity for disease is significantly lowered.

Body mass index (BMI) is measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. BMI Categories: Underweight = <18.5 Normal weight = 18.5-24.9 Overweight = 25-29.9 Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater BMI Online Calculator

Introducing the Health Queen, Monica Wrigley
Monica to Spearhead the New Weight Loss Program M.O.V.E.

Meet the Health Queen, Monica Wrigley. She will be spearheading the new program, M.O.V.E. which is an ongoing lifestyle based 4 month weight loss and fitness program. She understands the issues that challenge you with weight loss and staying in shape. She knows that the real issue has nothing to do with food or exercise for that matter. It has everything to do with how you think. Monica is very good at working the mind so that eating properly and exercising regularly become second nature. She has a very athletic background as well. In high school she was on the track team and has been a regular member of the Colonel Bob's Beach Boot Camp classes.

Monica was born in Secaucus, New Jersey. Her Undergraduate studies were conducted in West Virginia where she received a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. As her interest in human behavior continued to grow she went on to pursue a Masters of Science in Mental Health at Barry University. She is a certified Behavior Analyst, working with developmentally disabled individuals. Monica has extensive experience helping people monitor and change their own behavior, using the basic principles of behavior analysis. The Health Colonel to Conduct Seminar on How to Eat for Energy and Performance at DHL Headquarters

PRWEB) May 17, 2006 -- Want to win the battle for health and fitness? Reinforcements have arrived. Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein, aka the Health Colonel, who was featured on the History Channel, conducted a seminar on “How to Eat for Energy and Performance” on May 23rd, 2006 at 12 noon for the employees of DHL at the Plantation, Florida office. “This seminar is a great opportunity to inspire and motivate the employees of DHL to take charge of their eating habits, one step at a time. We are our primary source and resource of energy and health. Who is not looking for more energy in the workplace and at home? Who is not looking to be a better performer and gain greater recognition at work and at home? If an employer truly wants to increase productivity and performance in the workplace, there is an eating and exercise formula that will achieve the desired results and will promote team cohesion,” Weinstein says.

Update on Lou and His Cancer Treatment

Lou is one of our Beach Boot Camp recruits that was diagnosed with stomach cancer and has been doing battle against it since January 2006. He is just about cancer free now and is back to work. Lou, that's such great news! I spoke to him in August and he said, "It's better to be buried in work, than to be buried! Lou is very grateful for his second chance and treasures life and those relationships in his life more than ever.

Hey Bob, hope this find you doing well.

Just as an update, today is the halfway point for my radiation treatment. So far it has not drained my energy as much as I thought it would. Being in New York gives you a jolt of energy that I probably would not get in South Florida.

Doctors are pleased; had PET & CT scans a couple of weeks ago that did not show the cancer having metastasized. The radiation will be followed up with a couple more rounds of chemo, just to make sure that this “cancer-crap” (my pet name for it) is out of my system.

From the looks of your newsletter you are keeping very busy! Good luck with the all of the projects you have going on.

All the best,

Lou
